philosophy

today in class we started a video on philosophy. philosophy is the academic study of anything and asking questions such as:
why do you do what you want?
why do you think what you think?
why do you feel what you feel?

Philosophy comes from philosophia- the love of wisdom

mythos- story telling
philos- science

platos academy and Aristotle's lyceum were the first universities

it is also a way of thinking about big questions. the big questions are about life.
what is the world like?
what is the nature of reality?
is there something more in the world other than matter and energy?
do I have a soul?
