notes

Today in Western Civilization a few people still had to take the test from Friday. While they were making the test up the rest of the class was assigned to take some notes from the text book. The notes I took were about the democracy and Greece’s Golden Age. the notes I took said that  the leader Pericles ruled over Athens for about the entire Golden Age. The leader only made one mistake in his rule and that was to challenge Sparta into war. This war was very bad loss for Athens. As a result it left them devastated because Pericles was killed. I also took about Socrates. He believed that the absolute standards did exist for truth and justice. Plato, who wrote down the conversations of Socrates. And also about Aristotle, who questioned the nature of the world and of human belief, thought, and knowledge. We read about the Greeks created drama, which there is two kinds-tragedy and comedy. A tragedy is a serious drama about common themes such as love, hate, war, or betrayal. Comedy is scenes filled with slapstick situations and crude humor.
